Method for filling an inkjet printer ink cartridge in which an empty cartridge (1) has its reservoir (2) filled with ink through an opening (9). The cartridge is then subjected to a centrifugal force using a centrifuge which forces ink through a filter element (6) into the ink outlet (4), through which ink passes during printing, up until the locking element. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for manufacture of inkjet printer ink cartridges which includes a centrifuge for the final stage of the ink filling process.
