The system for the non-destructive testing of metal alloys, in a metal casting (1), detects corroded areas (9) near the surface by eddy current measurements to register the oxidized carbides or sulfided zones. The alloy is tested after the component has been cast, and before the surface (3) of the cast body (5) is cleaned and activated, and covered by a corrosion protection layer (7) in a thickness of 100 microns .
