Gearchange with reversing facility under load has reversing group and gear ratio group in variable layout to match the space requirements of a particular transmission

A gearchange for reversing under constant torque has a reversing group (33) positioned about the drive shaft (3) on a selected layout, and with a gear ratio group (36) coupled to the reversing group. The layout of the gearchange is flexible to fit into particular transmission, i.e. to match the various axle spacing of the input and output shafts. The optimum layout of the gear ratio group is onto the reverse gear of the reversing group.
