The knitted fabric (10) is composed of one yarn (1) which is electrically conductive, and a second yarn (2) which is not conductive. The conductive yarn has metal or metallized filaments, metal fibers, a fiber with a metal mantle, metal foil and/or metal foil components. The non-conductive yarn is of natural or synthetic fibers, thermoplastic filaments, a stretch yarn and/or fibers from a non-metallic material.
