The insect screen fabric (22) is held at the edges in two vertical side rails (26) which can be divided in the longitudinal direction so that one outer rail part (30) fixed on the building engages round the insect screen on its outer side remote from the building opening (12) whilst an inner rail part (34) which engages round the screen on the inside is detachably connected to the outer rail part. The outer rail parts define relative to the edge area (50) of the building opening an assembly shaft (52) for inserting and removing the winding mechanism (18).
