A system for closing and handling dosing modules comprises a dosing module (10) having a housing containing a displacement chamber; a dosing device (20) with a receiver (24) for the dosing module in an end section (23) of a housing and an opening (25) on the end side for inserting the dosing module; and a container (30) with a further receiver for the dosing module, a further opening for introducing and removing the end section of the dosing device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) a dosing device; (ii) a container; and (iii) a tray for use in the system. Preferred Features: The module housing is longitudinal and has the dosing outlet and/or a holding region (13', 13'') on a front side.
