An apparatus for acquiring undissolved gases in devices filled with liquid, especially high tension devices, comprises a measuring system for acquiring the undissolved gases volumetrically in the course of their production. The measuring system has a differential pressure measuring device (6) connected to pressure measuring connections (14, 15) via liquid-filled lines (8, 10). One connection (15) measures the liquid pressure inside the housing (5) of the apparatus and the other connection (14) measures the liquid pressure of a liquid column which extends to just below the height of the head part (9a) of the housing. A control and evaluation unit (7) evaluates the signals delivered from the measuring system and releases control and/or warning signals. Preferred Features: A temperature measuring device (18) and/or a pressure measuring device (19) are arranged in the inner chamber (16) of the housing. The apparatus further comprises a pressure equalizing device (11). The apparatus can be connected to a Buchholz relay.
