Monitoring method for a bus system that comprises a number of bus members that are connected via two bus channels, so that communication takes place by transfer of signals over the channels. Monitoring is carried out by an evaluation circuit (8) that measures the time behavior of voltage levels on the bus and from the behavior determines if the bus is operating correctly or not. An Independent claim is made for an evaluation circuit for monitoring the correct operation of a bus system.
