The boot lid is pivoted upwards by a traction spring, which is fastened in a connection point at radial distance to the hinge arm pivot axis. A turnable spiral-shaped displacement unit (10) is connected to a first flexible traction element (5) held pivoted in the connection point (4) of the pivot arm (2), and to a second flexible traction element (6), which is mounted on the spring (14). When the boot lid (1) is opened, an angled turning movement is introduced into the displacement unit. The unit is constructed like an Archimedes screw, with a large and a small spiral pulley (11,12) on a bearing shaft (7).
