A method for load dependent control of the fluid supply to a fluid circuit (1) wherein a regulating pump (3, 4) is used to control the fluid flow using regulating elements (10, 11). Accordingly a load-sensing signal (12) that represents the load on the fluid circuit is generated and used by a positioning organ (5, 6) to control the position of the regulating elements. Position control is dependent on the load-sensing signal and the actual position of the adjustment elements. An Independent claim is made for a device for load dependent control of the fluid supply to a fluid circuit using a regulating pump.
