Prevention of the effects of an insect bite by use of a hand held device for localized heating of the area of skin around the bite and hence destruction of the insect poison and prevention of its effects

Device for minimizing the consequences of an insect bite to the skin consists of a hand held device for heating the skin zone affected by the insect bite. The device comprises a heating head that is controlled to prevent burning of the skin. The invention is based on the idea that most insect poisons are destroyed by heat, so that heating the effected area destroys the poison and negates its effects.
