Seal integrity testing device for pneumatic self-levelling for automobile chassis checks time interval for reaching given pressure threshold in lines between pressure source and gas springs

The testing device uses a pressure sensor (39) detecting the pressure in the lines (21,24,26) connecting the pneumatic pressure source (28,36) to the gas springs (10), with measurement of the time taken for reaching a given pressure threshold upon closure of the valves (22) infront of the gas springs, for comparison with a reference time interval. The self-levelling is disconnected and/or a system check is performed when the reference time interval is exceded.
