Method for displaying the filling level of heated liquid in a container by use of two or more temperature sensors (6, 7, 13) distributed in the direction of filling of the container. The temperatures of the sensors are determined and the liquid level is determined by ascertaining between which pair of sensor there is the greatest temperature difference (corresponding to the liquid air interface). An Independent claim is made for a device for liquid level indication having temperature sensors mounted on a support and an indicator (15-17) for the level of fluid.
