Method for guaranteeing the service quality of Internet applications, when network resources are being used in an optimum manner. Accordingly for Internet applications, the communications requirements at the IP access network are captured and stored as a user profile. When an Internet application is activated the available network resources are compares with the stored user profile and control data determined.
