An assembly disinfects water in a holding tank (3) for a swimming pool or trade purposes. The assembly consists of a pipe system, with an inlet and outlet circulating to and from the holding tank. The pipe system esp. has a pump (7) which maintains the entire tank contents in motion and an oxidation agent dosing assembly (9) and a mixer (8). The reaction mixer (8) is a stationary mixer or ultra-violet mixer. The pump achieves a water circulation cycle of 4 hr. The assembly further has a dose (9) measuring unit at the tank outlet and an associated dose regulator which is operated on detecting a lower threshold voltage of pref. 800 mV. The disinfection agent consists of one or more chemicals.
