The system to monitor the vulcanizing of rubber mixtures uses ultrasonic sensors (1,3), resistant to temperature and pressure. At least one sensor is located in the vulcanizing mold (5,6), for the ultrasonic waves to pass through the rubber mixture (7) once or more times to give an accurate register of the interaction and the running time of the ultrasonic signals. One sensor is a transmitter and the other is a receiver. The system has an integrated sample thickness measurement, linked to an electronic data capture unit (8).
