Measurement instrument has a value editor for adjusting the values of setting parameters. The instrument has a number of function units for which operation settings can be set via operating elements (43-46), a controller that controls adjustment of the operation settings and a display. A number of operating elements form an operating block that is displayed on the display and is selected using an operating focus (39). A first or second editing mode can be used to adjust the parameters. Independent claims are made for: (1) a method for adjusting the values of operating parameters of a measurement instrument; (2) a computer program for implementation of the method.
