The automobile roof (1), or roof module, has a roof skin (3) and an inner lining (5) with a gap between them. The hollow space (6) between the roof skin and inner lining is connected to an air ventilation system, and the lining is permeable over its surface to allow diffused air streams (14) to flow through micro-openings (10) in the lining fabric (11) into the vehicle interior (4).
