The cargo container with a platform has two longitudinal rails (1,2) permitting it to be drawn over two first rollers onto a transport vehicle of a first type suitable for flat platforms. The container has two runners selectively lowerable into the platform or movable downwards and outwardly. In the outwardly extended state, the runners enable the container to be drawn over two second rollers onto a vehicle of a second type.
