The invention relates to a roller grinding mill, especially an air-swept roller grinding mill, that is equipped with a device for removing magnetizable components, especially iron particles, from the grinding chamber. The invention further relates to a method for grinding materials that contain magnetizable, especially iron-containing components, for example slags, in an air-swept roller grinding mill. According to the inventive method, any magnetizable particles, especially iron particles, are electromagnetically removed on the roller bowl and removed from the roller grinding mill to avoid enrichment of said particles.
