For the measurement of tensile forces on running materials (10), they are deflected by a force monitor roller (15) with a force meter. The deflection angle ( alpha ) is defined by the movement path angle around the deflection roller. A monitor registers the shifting deflection angle and the measured resulting tensile force (Fres) for the tensile force (F) on the material to be computed.
