The cat ladder is in a modular construction, using a number of upright tube sections (1,1') fitted into each other to form a pole. The bottom section has a foot (4), with a footplate (41) on the ground (E) secured by anchor spikes (43) and with leveling screws (42). Spacers (2) and stepping boards (3) are fitted alternately to the pole, keyed against rotation. The upper section has a board (5) to give access to a balcony (B), either directly or over a railing (G).
