Air ship has controllable lift produced by rotating blades (7) arranged in the form of a torus (1) between air-permeable annular disks (6) joined together alternately at the inner and outer diameter and producing a flow similar to a vortex ring. A vacuum for the aerostatic lift is produced within the torus and the aerodynamic lift is produced by a downward-directed rotational movement of the blades on the outer diameter. Preferred Features: The disks are made of fabric and the blades are made of air-tight coated fabric.
