The synthetic road surfacing has stones, applied to an exact cylindrical surface for simulating the surface roughness of a real road surface, while preventing periodic oscillation of the tested vehicle at the roller rotation frequency. The cylindrical surface is provided by a thin-walled cylindrical aluminum carrier plate (1), the stones provided by gravel chips (2) embedded in a compound plastics material (4) simulating bitumen, adhered to the cylindrical surface via a metal adhesive (3).
