The lightning protection installation uses an elongate hollow profile (1) of a lightning protection conductor material, e.g. aluminium, copper or zinc-coated steel and a corresponding counter-profile acting as a connector, a holder, an end termination or a clamp, fitting into a channel (4) at the rear of the elongate hollow profile. An Independent claim for a method for assembly of a lightning protection installation is also included.
