Drive comprises one or two insertion opening (21, 22) in which different expansion slits (30, 40) can be inserted. The expansions slits are designed for use with different type of memory card, such as type I, II and III PCMCIA or PC cards, compact flash cards, smart media cards, multimedia cards, memory stick cards or secure digital cards. The drive can be detected via any of the usual interfaces, IDE, ATAPI, USB or 1394 to the host unit.
