Photogrammetric method for determination of the center of optical signal marks on moving objects that are recorded using a video camera. The electrical image signals from the camera are transmitted as row type sequences of pixels to a digital image- processing device for data compression. Data compression involves combination of an n x m matrix of adjoining pixels for grouped evaluation. An Independent claim is made for a device for photogrammetric measurement comprising a control unit with which pixels are combined to form matrices and then evaluated as control signals before being transmitted to a computer.
