The opening (8c) in a roof lining (8), to take a pipe through it, has a mounting (1) with a ring (2) at the lining material in a truncated cone shape to fit around the pipe. The ring is in a one-piece or multi-part structure at its lower section (2a), and has a flat section (3) parallel to the lining material. The flat surface is bonded directly to one of the lining material surfaces (8a,8b) by an adhesive layer, in a watertight bond, and preferably to the upper surface (8a).
