Superconducting electrical machines for naval ships use flexible elements to decouple stator, rotor and cryostat from outer machine housing and rotor shaft regarding their motion
Electrical machines have a rotor with high-temperature superconductors, a rotor cryostat (15), a rotor shaft (12), an non-superconducting stator (13) and a cryostatic link with a cryostatic conductor between the cryostat and frigorific apparatus. Flexible elements decouple the stator, the rotor and the cryostat from an outer machine housing (4) and the rotor shaft regarding their motion. Independent claims are also included for an electrical drive device for a ship and for an electric thruster for a navy ship like a frigate, a corvette or a fast patrol boat.
