Method for reduction of photon loading of a detection channel of an X-ray fluoroscopy device in which all X-ray photons above an adjustable energy level are absorbed between the sample and the detector by use of a filter (1) that is comprised of a number of glass disks or films (2) of a defined length and thickness that are arranged in parallel to each other with a defined separation between them.
