Air jet comprises an air outlet opening, at least horizontal lamellae for guiding the air flow, and a connection to an air supply shaft. A support frame (1) has at least two side walls (2, 3) of which one is curved and forms with the upper and lower transverse connecting parts (4, 5) an air outlet which curves forward. A cylindrical housing (6) inserted and rotating between the side walls has a first closed semicylindrical peripheral section (7) and a second peripheral section (8) having horizontal lamellae (9). The side wall (10) of the housing on the side of the support frame with the curved side wall has a full-wall side wall section. The horizontal lamellae are fixed at one end on this full-wall section and at the other end on a second side wall (11) designed preferably as a spoke-like lamellae support wall or as a closed wall. Bearing journals (12) are provided on the side walls for rotatably positioning in pivot bearings. The housing is rotatably arranged so tha t either the front of the lamellae is visible or the front opening is covered by the closed rear peripheral section or an intermediate position is adopted. A lateral connection is provided on the side wall of the support frame for fixing to an air supply shaft for lateral air intake and a lateral air inlet is provided in the housing.
