The method involves determining dose parts for each radiation element in body volumetric flow elements for a unit effect, whereby the dosage parts within a radius with a probability of 1 are taken into account and parts outside a radius with a different probability are also taken into account, forming a matrix with values produced by weighting dosage parts and determining the dose by multiplying an actual influence value by matrix values. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement for determining a dose for radiation therapy; (2) an arrangement for providing radiation or irradiating, especially a tumor patient, with an inventive device.
