The infinitely variable gearing has two driving zones where one power output path has an infinitely variably controlled rotary speed, and a mechanical power output path. In the first driving zone, a spur gear (1) is on the drive shaft (3) to mesh with a loose wheel (5) on an intermediate shaft (10), and a drive transmission is through a clutch (L) with a planetary gear (11) as a cumulative gearing. The second power output path is also from the spur gear, to a further spur gear (2) on the back gear shaft (4) at the primary side of the variator (9). The secondary side of the variator is keyed to the sun wheel (13) in the cumulative gearing. In the second driving zone, a closed coupling (H) links the output of the variator with the output (17) of the planetary gearing when the first clutch (L) is open.
