The fuel injector, for an internal combustion motor, has a valve piston with an axial movement to operate the jet needle. A pressure body ball (18) is between the valve piston (12) and the jet needle (15), with a centered conical recess (16,17) at the end sides of the valve piston and jet needle to transmit the axial forces from the piston through the ball to the needle. A disk (19), with a center conical recess (20), lies on the ball at the valve piston side supported by a spring (22) to exert an axial force on the jet needle through the disk and ball.
