A rigid wire collector (16) provided at rear end of the basket (10), has passages to collect basket wires (18a,18b,20a,20b), so as to form a tipless basket. The collector orients the wires in a parallel direction to the long axis of the basket when the basket is in open position. An Independent claim is also included for medical retrieval basket formation method.
