Variable urn grave cover comprises a memorial slab (1) and a gravestone (3) having an inscription surface (4) and inserted in a form-locking manner in an opening in the memorial slab. The inscription surface lies at an angle. The front edge of the gravestone pivots about a central axis (6) of the memorial slab. In the starting position the gravestone is arranged in a mirror-symmetrical manner to a cut-out opening (2) relative to an imaginary diagonal on the surface of the memorial slab. The front edge of the inscription surface coincides with the edge of the cut-out opening facing the central point of the memorial slab.
