Drive for electrically releasable friction brake, especially for aircraft seat, has electromagnet with coil supplied with high power for limited time at start of decoupling process
The brake controller has an electromagnet with a magnetic coil that is supplied with high power for a limited time at the start of a decoupling process until axial movement of a movable friction element of the brake is stopped at a stop and then the power fed to the magnetic coil is reduced. The power reduction takes place by pulse width control.
