The fixing system for hard foam insulation plates comprises several sheet metal holders (1) attached perpendicular and with condensation channels for drainage underneath. The individual holders consist in cross section of two arms of different length converging to a point and from which tongues are bent to act as bearing tongues and holding tongues (6,7) for fixing insulation plates (10). The lower end of the short arm is formed as a bearing strip (8) for the insulation plate and that of the long arm acts as a standing foot for fixing the metal holder on the building wall. The holding tongue is bent corresponding to the arm guide when the metal holder is compressed.
