The brake servo power booster (1) for a motor vehicle has a master cylinder with a safety valve (12,15) to reduce pressure increases in the working chamber due to leakage of the pedal operated actuating valve (4,5). The valves allow pressure fluid to pass from the working chamber to the vacuum chamber (8) depending on the master cylinder operating conditions.
