Slag granulating device has separate circulations for returning the process water used for converting the slag into slag sand to a spraying chamber (3) and for returning condensed water as cooling water to a condensation tower (6). Preferred Features: The spraying chamber and the condensing tower are arranged above each other and are separated from each other by a water collecting vessel. A spray nozzle (16) for spraying a part of the process water to condense a part of the water vapor formed in the spraying chamber and to wash out slag particles entrained with the water vapor is arranged in the upper part of the chamber.
