A second sealing device (SSD) (8) has an axial gap from a first sealing device (FSD) (7) for a second seal between a cylinder cover (6) and a piston rod (4). Outside a cylinder (2) a device (12) links to a leakage path (LP) (13) between the FSD and SSD that penetrates the cylinder. This device (12) determines leakage fluid that passes through the associated sealing device to reach the LP.
