The lock has a flat rectangular plate (2) with a front plate (1) projecting at right angles to one of the narrow edges. The end of the bolt (4) protrudes through a slit in this plate. The inner portion of the bolt (3) has notches (26a-c) to accommodate a locking pin (23) held by a spring (22) so that the bolt can be held in a fully extended, half extended and fully retracted position. A bolt stop plate (12) is pivoted on a pivot (11) on the bolt and has a slit divided into two portions (13a-b) engaging a pin (14a) fastened to the lock housing. The pin may bear against steps (14b) in the sides of the slit. The system includes a plate which may be placed in two different settings.
