The manicure device has a finger support (4) which pivots about a rotation axis (18) perpendicular to the plane of the finger-nail, with continuous adjustment of the distance between the finger support and the electrically-driven filing wheel (12), against a spring bias. Interchangable curved guides (19) can be secured to the finger support, for cooperating with a stop adjacent the filing wheel during the filing process for defining the shape of the finger-nail.
