Yarn laying assembly to lay layers of yarn bands, at a warp knitter, has transport chains for the carrier hooks on both sides composed of plate segments locked together in a force fit at the laying zone

The assembly to lay bands of yarns in a number of layers between the hooks at transport chains (3,3') on both sides of a warp knitter, has guide rails for the transport chains in the laying plane to carry and tense the laid yarns. A drive (74,74') moves the transport chains between the entry and exit zones of the laying assembly. The transport chains are composed of articulated and interlinked plate segments (31,31'), forming a part of the guide hooks and structured to be engaged by the drive. The plate segments are held together in a force fit bond (PV). Guide rails give the plate segments the movement to tense the laid yarns and guide rails carry them forwards without kinking the bond between the plate segments. A drive (5,5') engages the final plate segment of each plate bond to give a sliding push movement.
