The security equipment has a trigger unit (18,19), which activates a lift unit for transferring the car bonnet from a resting position into an impact position when an impact with a pedestrian or cyclist occurs. The lift unit includes fluid driven actuators (6,7,8,9). The fluid pressure required by the actuators is indirectly-constituted by the driving unit (17) of the car.
