The door knob (2) is rotatably mounted in a second door plate (1) on the outside of the door. A permutation lock containing externally operated actuator parts (5) is located between the second door plate and the door leaf or a mounting part. In the closed position, parts of the permutation lock fix the door knob into position to prevent it from being turned and in the open position, the permutation lock allows the handle to be turned. The door knob is connected to the end part of a profiled pin facing it and when the permutation lock is in the closed position, the pin can be rotated a certain distance about its length axis via a latch in order to open the lock. The door knob can be used to open the lock when the permutation lock is in the open position. The lock comprises a security lock which can be fitted inside the door, a first door plate for mounting on the inside of the door and a second door plate for mounting on the outside of the door. The two door plates both include a space (3) for a cylinder lock and the first door plate includes a space for a profiled pin used to connect the latch to the lock follower.
