Process for the continuous production of molded bodies made from a mineral and/or glass foam, especially spherical mineral and/or glass foam granules, comprises drying green bodies; calcining; foaming while moving into beds by rolling; and cooling the foamed bodies. The green bodies are foamed using a spontaneous heat shock, and transported to the end of the foaming zone. An Independent claim is also included for a device for the continuous production of molded bodies made from a mineral and/or glass foam, especially spherical mineral and/or glass foam granules. Preferred Features: The green bodies are moved in the perpendicular direction in addition to the forward direction. The green bodies are solidified using cold air directly after foaming.
