The inner cladding (1) for an automobile is especially for lining the doors, side walls, instrument panel and side pillars, shrouding an airbag to protect the occupants in the event of an impact collision when the airbag is inactive. The airbag outlet zone (3a,3b), when the airbag is inflated, is in two parts formed on one side by at least one fracture line (6) and at least one bending line (5) on the other side, so that the shrouding components of the inner cladding can swing open for the airbag deployment.
