A method of determining a scalar product between a digital input signal (si) and several digital code signals (ck, i-t), which consist of a signal sequence with limited value store (1,-1; 1, j,-1,-j), involves initially separating the input signal (si) into a number of part-signal sections (s0,s1,s2...) with limited length, and then forming whole permutations (c'0,c'1,c'2...) which the code signals can accept into the length-restricted part-signal-sections, followed by forming complete part-scalar products (z00, z10,z20 ...z01,z11,z21...) between all the part-signal sections (s0,s1,s2...) of the input signal (si) and all permutations of the code signal. A part-scalar product is selected for each part signal section and for each code signal (ck, i-t) corresponding to the permutation of the respective code signal present in the respective part-signal section. The part-scalar products for several code signals are then summated. Independent claims are given (A) for a computer program with program-code devices and (B) for a computer -program product.
