A main bearer (15,17) on the handlebar front extension is firmly joined to a main shell collar (18) and has two bolts (13,14) through the bar halves (11,12) as rotation axes. Hinged (19) to the main collar (18) is a flapdown collar (20), itself hinged to a strap (19). The strap opening is engaged when the two handlbar halves are arrested by a stay bolt (22) arranged on the main collar (18). The two collars (18,20) are clamped fast by a selflocking clamp lever (23) hinged for this purpose to the flapdown collar (20). The arrested lever (23) is engaged by a releasable security lever (24). The main bearer arm (17) has angled side arms (15,16) terminating in fork ends for the respective bolts (13,14). The side arms (15,16) have elastic coating or outside stops (28) addressed in pressure by the handlebar halves (11,12) when folded.
